5-100L method with AMP for Cs
Sample Type | Water |

Elements | Cs |
Radioisotopes | 134Cs, 137Cs |
Detection by | gamma | Description | In this paper, improved radiometric methods of 134Cs/137Cs in seawater (5 -100 litter) are presented. Seawater samples are acidified with nitric acid to pH 1.6. CsCl tracer is added. 4 g of AMP is added and stirred for 1 hour then allowed to settle until supernate is clear. The AMP-Cs is then collected on a filter, dried and transferred to a Teflon tube and counted by gamma spectometry. |
