Annual Calls

  • The UNLP Undergraduate Scholarship for students attending a two-year institution
    $5,000 toward the cost of tuition and additional expenses. Deadline end of Jan per year.
  • The UNLP Undergraduate Scholarship for students attending a four-year institution
    $10,000 toward the cost of tuition and additional expenses. Deadline end of Jan per year.
  • The UNLP Graduate Fellowship funding over three years to support graduate research and supports a summer internship at a DOE national laboratory or approved facility.Student applications are due on January, and must be submitted using the online system found at neup.gov. Notifications go out in spring.

ACS Summer School in Nuclear and Radiochemistry for Undergrads

Applications due February 1, yearly
The Division of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology of the American Chemical Society sponsors 6-week summer schools in nuclear and radiochemistry funded by the U.S. Department of Energy at Brookhaven National Laboratory and San Jose State University.

DHS Nuclear Forensics Undergraduate Summer School

Next program in summer 2020
A six-­week summer school June 15 - July 24 at Washington State University in Pullman designed to provide comprehensive, experimental, hands-­on training in topics essential to nuclear forensics as a means of interesting students in pursuing graduate studies in scientific disciplines related to nuclear forensics.

DOE Office of Science Graduate Fellowship

Applications due May and November
The DOE Science Graduate Fellowship is a three-year award that provides partial tuition support, an annual stipend for living expenses, and a research allowance for full-time graduate study and thesis/dissertation research at a U.S. academic institution.

DOE Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships

Applications due in January, May and October
Department of Energy's 6-week gives selected students the opportunity to work at one of 15 participating DOE laboratories, performing research under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers on projects supporting the DOE mission.

Health Physics Society

Scholarships, grants, and fellowships for students interested in a career in health physics.

IAEA Internships

The IAEA accepts a limited number of interns each year who are studying toward a university degree or who have recently received a degree.
