Hi Dr. Fisher, thank you for your poster. This is very interesting work! I was wondering how you sourced your bluefin tuna, and how that may impact your results. For example, do you randomly buy bluefin tuna from these locations and test them? Do you work with local fishermen to look at certain locale? Do you try to obtain tuna from a large range of locations in the Pacific Ocean?

    Thank you!

The tuna were caught by sports fishermen off San Diego California. We took samples from all 15 fish that were available to us in 2011. In the next year we were able to acquire many more samples, also from fishermen off San Diego.
